Many North Carolinian’s face a New Reality as they seek to navigate the 21st century economy. To many it seems that the “Great Recession is the “new normal”. The North Carolina Community Action Association continues to counter these complexities by providing strategies for building North Carolina’s communities. This year’s conference aims to empower local communities to derive local solutions that provide opportunities and new beginnings.
All levels of community action and nonprofit staff– newcomers to seasoned professionals—will obtain strategies, tools, skills and best-practices to help families build new possibilities. Plenary sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities will foster collaboration and focus attention on the diverse faces of poverty in North Carolina while promoting positive change in our communities.
Join us May 6-10, 2013, at the North Carolina Community Action Association Annual Conference at the Hilton North Raleigh. We must come together to build a reality in which health, success and prosperity are equally accessible to all of North Carolina’s citizens.
